We believe that Success need not - and should not- come from the exploitation of others.

The fashion industry is broken. Too often, it thrives on the backs of an underpaid, underappreciated population.

We find that unacceptable.

You might be surprised at the real reason for the state of the fashion industry. Most people think that the problem arises from companies chasing lower wages to increase profits. Yet, it's the supply chain that often forces their hand. The average retail garment sold in the United States passes through anywhere between three to five middlemen before it reaches the final customer. And each time, there is a mark-up. It's exponential effect of these mark-ups that create a downward pressure on costs of production.

INSTEAD OF WORKING WITHIN THIS SYSTEM, WE'RE TRAILBLAZING OUR OWN PATH.

We cut out the mark-ups and pass that savings back to both the buyer and the employee.

In this new model, we provide an integrated service to buyersThat means we offer everything you need from start to finish - fabric buying, cut and sew, garment dyeing, design and even screen printing.

  • From our customer's perspective, that means competitive pricing for custom, quality apparel that keeps pace with fast fashion.
  • From our employee's perspective, it's a life changer. Our goal is to allow our employees not only a livable wage, but a path to economic opportunity in their country.

Standard Apparel strives for a sustainable business model that isn’t built on the exploitation of others, providing products of industry leading quality at truly competitive prices with a socially and environmentally responsible focus. Our ultimate vision is is a restructuring of the fashion apparel supply chain, which will lead to the empowerment and respectful employment of garment workers throughout the world.

We aren't just a company, we're a family.

Our company is guided by a philosophy of empowerment.

We currently employ over 300 Hondurans, and although working within the current system is difficult, we've worked hard to create a progressive work environment for our employees.

  • Not only do they earn more than the average garment worker, we pride ourselves on the fact that we grow our management team from within.
  • As advocates for our workers and their families, we pay an annual educational stipend so employees can purchase books and other materials for the coming school year.
  • Expecting mothers are allotted a three month fully paid maternity leave, and we give all employees two weeks paid vacation.
  • We contribute monthly to their retirement account, and we recently set up a college fund for our employees seeking further education.
  • Additionally, we purchased an eight acre piece of land where we are constructing a safe neighborhood with affordable homes for our employees.

Our factories aren’t just a place of work either - company outings, holiday parties, health fairs, and soccer tournaments help us feel the sense of community nurtured within our walls.

The possibilities that can come from this new business model are endless. Two of our main goals for the immediate future include offering all employees the option of living in a safe neighborhood, and enrolling the children of our employees into a bilingual school. We believe that education is the path to middle class for our employees and their children.
